This 8.5m Limousine was one of two delivered for the yacht MY Boadicea in 1997. It was the first of many Sam Sorgiovanni retro designed Vikals. The classic lines and rounded wooden transom, hark back to the days of Clarke Gable in cinema and boating. This classic looking tender was critical in the evolution of Vikal's distinctive style.
Incarnations of it can now be seen among other tender builders that followed.
CUSTOMIZATION DETAILS
The garage on the yacht had limited height and the Tender had to be built to meet this but the Owner also wanted to have full headroom when boarding and disembarking from the Tender. Vikal's solution was the development of a lifting roof system where the roof could be raised and parked in any position at the push of a button.
The layout allowed for starboard and port boarding forward as well as aft boarding. Other features included a fold into transom stair suitable for wheelchairs and a powered sunroof installed in the roof.
